I frequently swim with my watchand never do anything to lock it before I get
into the water. Once you enter the water with your watch on it will
automatically turns the water lock on. Once you have finished swimming just
turn the digital crown round a few times in either or both directions and it
will be unlocked.

You need to turn the digital crown as long as you‘ll get to hear a specific
signal. Pressing the display or the buttons doesn‘t help here.
