I'm sorry that it isn't just me but I'm glad at the same time.  I hadn't realized it's been broken for this long. As I might have said before though the upgrade for me to 13 was a pretty easy ride and I'm by no means a glass half empty girl still it is a bit disheartening to see some issues having been widely reported during the beta cycle and during the subsequent release still hanging around this long. Ah well. Yes it is a good thing there's more than one way to accomplish things. I'll remember the email tip next time; is dictation working in the notes app for instance?

I went the bluetooth keyboard route just to get it done. H Here's hoping the suggestions I put in my app review will be implemented faster than this bug might be fixed.

Yes, people should reach out, but in the meantime since they don’t’ seem to be in any hurry to address it, I just compose my review in an email draft and copy and paste to the app store. Annoying to have to do the extra step, but until they get around to fixing it, it’s a good enough option. I don’t have a Bluetooth keyboard connected to my iPhone.

Dictation is not working in App Store if you want to dictate review

If I am in the app store on the screen for an app I own and I click on "see all reviews" button and then "write a review" button I can easily select my stars and I can even enter my title text using dictation if I wish.  However, once in the text field for the body of the review itself if I invoke dictation either by the two finger double tap or the dictate button on screen it matters not dictation only lets me speak two words at most before it cuts itself off. It is positively maddening I tell you; and I can absolutely reproduce it at will both on an iPhone 11 ProMax and an iPad Pro running the latest software. Even after rebooting and closing out of the app store and entering it again as I said I can absolutely reproduce the issue at will. Dictation seems to work fine elsewhere such as in the search field and even in the title of a review entry screen just not in the main body of the review text. If anyone can replicate this please join me in reporting this to Apple Accessibility.

I'm by no means a glass half empty or the sky is falling kind of girl and Apple certainly doesn't have the market cornered on persistent bugs but it is slightly disheartening to keep running into things that aren't working 1/3rd of the way through the yearly cycle for iOS. Here's hoping that patient and polite reporting of such issues will result in their being fixed so the "it just works" slogan can continue to ring true.
