As of now, I have an Ipod touch 4th generation. I want to upgrade to either a Ipod touch 5th generation or the iPad mini.

Do you have an IPod Touch or IPhone now? If you buy a bluetooth
keyboard you could create any documents on them that you could on an
IPad.

I have a student who has a Dropbox account and uses Droptext to creat
documents. You can also use Pages and it is accessible with
voiceover.

Apple will likely unveil the iPad mini at a special event on October 23,
according to AllThingsD
. A claim from Fortune that Apple planned to
send out event invites on October 10 for an October 17 event
turned out to be false, but sources tell AllThingsD the iPad mini will
indeed be
revealed within two weeks. There is still no word on an official launch
date.

Yes, what you want to do on an iPad will be just as accessible as is on
the iPhone or iPod Touch.

I was thinking if the price for the I pad 2 or something is closer to the
notebook, I will buy ipad.
But what about writing documents on I pad, is it accessible?

The MacBook Air is a computer, the iPad is a tablet.
You can connect USB devices to the Macbook Air, you cannot connect USB
devices to the iPad--that includes external memory sticks, printers, CD
drives, etc.
You can get a lot more memory installed in a MacBookAir.
I believe the smallest MacBook Air is 11 inches.

Being a laptop, it has a physical keyboard built-in.

I believe they start at around $1,100.00 and go up from there depending
on
memory etc.

Hi.
It really depends on the tasks that you want to accomplish. If you're
just
taking notes, checking email, web browsing, etc, I'd just go with an iPad
paired with a bluetooth keyboard for speed typing.

If however, you're doing more advanced word processing, spreadsheets,
etc,
I'd go with a smaller laptop. These tasks can be more time wasting than
productive on an iPad in my opinion.

I'm in college now, and for some classes I'll just take my iPad for note
taking and email. However, when I'm going to my accounting class for
example, I'll take my MacBook Air so I can use Excel in virtual Windows.

Hope this helps you make you're decision.
