Have you tried looking in the kindle app in the cloud? You might still need to 
download the books. 
Also, you can try going to the amazon website selecting account and lists, then 
content and devices and then books, if it is part of your kindle library then 
it should be there. You can instruct amazon to send the book to a particular 
device from there.
