I think that could be right. We bought our tablet from a blind person - wonderful tablet, all good about everything, except that my husband said, when it is off, he can see that bubble, you mentioned. It is a plastic screen protector. I told him, just remove it, but he said it was OK.

I found glass screen protectors so much easier to line up and apply.
