Hello Ian, Did you get a screen protector installed on your phone? If so maybe have it checked and make sure it's properly installed and there are no air bubbles and such. A friend of mine in Germany at one point had all sorts of issues with taps and swipes, he ended up removing his screen protector and all was as it should. Also, whether you have a screen protector or not, make sure your screen is clean. I know this is a new SE and I don't know if you had it for 2 days in which case it's unlikely the screen got really dirty or if you had it for 2 weeks in which case it could be dirty. But once again, dirty screens can cause strange behaviours. Take a damp micro fiber cloth and give it a good wipe and see if that helps. Davy's suggestion of a hard reset is also OK although I would first close all apps and simply power the phone down, then wait 30 seconds and turn it back on.
