I did a complete reset. Even went back to turn the phone back on it said hello and was ready to set up again. I noticed that when I got my SE 2020 and got it set up, my old iPhone 8 got a couple of notifications that did not come in to the SE 2020. I went through the reset Settings and removed everything from the iPhone 8 in order to sell it to my brother and that took care of the notifications issue.
