You could call your provider, explain the problem, and see if a customer service representative could be of any help at all.
I guess you know that you flick to Hide from End call, double tap on it, then, as Richard said, Add call, make your call from Contacts, get that person to answer, then press Merge Call to get the other person on the line again.
