If there is a way to completely rewind to the end or beginning of a
podcast in Downcast I can't find it, either and I've been using the app
for several years.
But you can move back in forth in various increments that might help.
While your podcast is playing in Downcast, move to the top of the screen
with a four finger single tap. Now you can swipe right to a Rewind
fifteen and a rewind 30 seconds button. The next two right swipes move
to fast forward 30 seconds and 2 minutes buttons. Two more right swipes
takes you to an episode play position slider This will move you back or
forward in increments of around four minutes in either direction.
Why the option to move in larger increments isn't located next to the
other movement buttons is beyond me.
You can also move fifteen seconds forward or backward using the buttons
on the lock screen.
