I fully understand that IMAP does not have a calendar facility. If I can get Outlook to work with his iCloud calendar perhaps at least in the future events will be synchronised.
I know the Calendar app in Windows10 will work with iCloud but Outlook's calendar is much more friendly. So there is a good reason why the calendars wont sync, IMAP mail protocol doesn't include a calendar feature, So your friends calendar is a stand alone calendar. I've not tried it, But your friend could try saving the calendars in to a file of a format that would work with the calendar app in Ios And then see if it can be imported into the phones calendar application. This however will not allow future events in the main calendar to be syncronised.
