Hi to all. I have had a very bad week when it comes to technology and
the iPhone. Usually, I'm very careful and I have no problems.
However, things have been horrible. I bought from a company for the
blind a smart iPhone case which I haven't had for a week yet. This
case was great, I had no problems putting the iPhone in the case and
it worked very well. If I used the power in my iPhone, I could charge
the phone one time completely, and a little over 60% before I'd need
to recharge my iPhone again. Well, a couple days ago, I was using a
cable that I also bought from this blind company that had 3 cables
built into it. A lightning cable, micro USB, and USBc. Well, the
lightning connector kind of bent when I picked up my phone to take a
phone call. So that cable as far as using the lightning charging
cable was no good. Last night I wanted to take my phone out of the
smart case for a minute. I'd gotten pretty good at putting my iPhone
in a case, and there was one case, my Otterbox case that I wanted to
see if I could put my iPhone in. I had some trouble, so I put my
iPhone back in my new smart charge case. Since the incident with the
lightning cable, it seemed that my iPhone was charging a little slower
then usual. I didn't think anything of it, but now I think I know
what was happening. Before I went to bed, I thought my iPhone wasn't
in my charging case as tight as it should have been. I kind of pushed
down on my iPhone a little bit and the phone seemed in the case just
fine. Well, earlier, I decided to use a set of wired headphones so I
grabbed one of those lightning to 3.5 mm adapters. I plugged the
adapter in my iPhone, and plugged in the headphones. I noticed that I
had no sound coming from the headphones and my voiceover was coming
from my iPhone. I thought I'd take my iPhone from the charging case
and check out my phone. Well, I forgot that those smart charging
cases have a built in lightning connector on them. The lightning
connector was bent all to heck which I noticed once my iPhone was out
of the charging case. My regular lightning port of my iPhone does
seem to be okay because I can charge my iPhone and I tried those
headphones and they work just fine when I tried them with my iPhone.
I can't believe I broke all that stuff. I feel like such an idiot.
My dad put my iPhone in my otterbox case so now my iPhone has a nice
case to protect it. I just bought myself a 10000 MA portable battery
which I'll be using with my iPhone if I do go out anywhere.
