Scott,

This is very helpful. Thanks.

If there's just a sound byte of 5 seconds I want as a ringtone, and make an m4r
file of that 5 seconds, will the 5 second clip play just once, or will it play
repeatedly for the 40 second duration of a ringtone?

Thanks in advance. Keith

Fedora Outlier LLC has posted a new item, 'Pick A Tone, Any Tone'

Do you like ringtones? More specifically, do you like to change your ringtones
frequently? If the answer to these questions is yes, then you will want to read
on, because in this post I will show you how you can make a ringtone from the
music that is already on your computer, and therefor you will no longer have to
pay those high prices for ringtones that may not be exactly to your liking.
