if you open the message it'll be a button aat he center top of the screen
if you touch it'll say <number> or <contact> button. double tap that and
it'll have options and one of those (for me the third swipe (audio,
facetime, info) to get the info screen.

I'm sorry yes, double tap on the number, swipe right from there til you
double tap info then there's the details page you can add to contacts or
exhisting contacts how ever you wish to do it. Sorry about missing a step

I think it is a bit cumpersum but, if you open the message, there's a
button at the top that isthe number. if you double that that then find
that button again it usualy has choices like audio, facetime, info, if you
swipe left to the phone number button again and double tap it again you'll
find a details page Ithink you can use to add to contaxts, exhisting
contacts etc. I hope I'm right.

I have a contact who has recently changed her phone number. I have a text
message that she sent from her new phone number, and I would like to get
that phone number into her contact so that I have the right number. I haven’t
found a way to do that in the Messages app. I’ve looked for actions, but
nothing helps. Double tap and hold brought up a context menu that had
nothing useful in it. So, there must be away, and it’s probably something
easy that I’m overlooking.
