It would make sense not to launch it today based on Apple's way of
handling this for years. They've always launched gold master to the
public beta testers and developers within hours after the event ends and
then the public launch a week later which would be this coming Tuesday.
I was a bit surprised when they announced that it would launch to the
public today.

It also may take time to be distributed around the world, so you may not see it

give time for the flurry of downloads to subside.

Time will tell.
Apple likes to release things and hold events at 10 AM Pacific time, so if it
isn't released shortly after that, then I'd be looking for an announcement from
Apple.
The Applevis blog has already posted their iOS 14 summary and list of bugs for
VoiceOver users.

Subject: iOS14 not launched today?
How trustworthy is "Apple Insider"? I just got a tweet a₣a few minutes ago,
that iOS14 isn't going to be launched until Tuesday? According to the article, some devs
seem not to be too happy with Apple's one--day notice between the Golden Master, and
launching right the next day, the official rebbease of iOS14. Can you guys confirm this
info?
