Hi Richard thanks very much for this I will give it a go later. Janet From: Richard Turner Sent: Saturday, September 19, 2020 9:53 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: playing music from iTunes on a Windows computer
Yes, you can put all your music in iTunes and sync your phone so long as you have sync entire library checked and have enough room on your phone. >From iTunes, press alt+f and down arrow to add folder to library and hit enter. Then, you can use the standard Windows interface to navigate to a folder where you have music and hit enter, then I believe you tab to select and press enter. Depending on how you have itunes set, that will either copy the music to the iTunes folder, or just add that folder to iTunes. If it copies the music to iTunes, you will have two copies of the music on your computer. >From Windows Explorer, you can navigate to your music wherever it is on your >computer, Select and copy, Then go to the folder where the iTunes music is stored. On my machine that is: C:\Users\YourUserName\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media In that folder should be a folder called “Automatically Add to itunes,” open that folder and paste your music there. When you run iTunes, the music will move from the automatically Add to iTunes folder, into its respective folders based on the tag labels of the music. Then, Sync your phone. Unlock your phone if it isn’t already unlocked. Launch iTunes. Tab until you hear iPhone, press the spacebar. Tab or shift tab until you get to the Sync button and press your spacebar. If you tab a few times you can hear where it is in the process. When it is done, press the done button which shows up next to where the sync button was. I did update it but that's all I've been able to do. Sent from my iPhone On Sep 19, 2020, at 10:46 AM, Richard Turner <[email protected]> wrote: I'm learning to live with iTunes 12.109 after iOS 14. I think I have found a way, at least for me, to use iTunes for listening to music from my Windows 10 Home computer that is much better than it used to be. ON the view menu, which you get to with alt+v, these are the things I have checked: All Music, Checked View as sub menu, right arrow to open and see that Grid is checked Sort by submenu, right arrow, I prefer Artist being checked Visualizer submenu, iTunes classic visualizer checked Then, when you have your library checked, and tab past the Store checkbox and hear table, if you use your right or left arrow key, you will hear the album title and artist in alphabetical order by the artist's first name. If you have lots of music, and want to get to a particular letter quickly, just press that letter, then hit your right arrow. When you want it to play, just hit your spacebar. I have an Onkyo receiver that has Airplay, so I can play music in the living room from my computer in my home office. This may have been possible in earlier iTunes, but I just finally figured this out and I thought others may find this helpful.
