Yes. If you just want turn-by-turn directions either walking or driving, Google Maps is very good. If you want something that will tell you about the streets you are crossing, and points of interest nearby, Lazarillo is very good and free. It can also give you walking turn-by-turn directions within the app, or can launch Google Maps and it will still give you information about the streets. I find the Points of Interest a little too distracting, so I turn off the explore mode which is on by default when you launch Lazarillo. It is a button at the top of the screen so easy to get to and turn off.
