Speaking from the other side, I actually like the new way of entering appointments. Say your appointment starts at 9:35. On the old system you would have to flick or use other methods to get it to 9:35. On the new system, though there is more double taps and swiping, I can enter 09:35 in the field. Change is hard, and it's hard to please everyone all of the time.
