I've gotten cases for my watch before because I may bump or knock the watch into things as I travel around in my environment. The case or bumper can protect the watch face from damage. I don't currently have a case for my Series 6 watch, mostly because we're all at home and there's not much to run into around my house. I may consider it whenever things open up next year. Although, getting a case onto the watch and running the band through it can be a bit of a tedious process. As well as taking the case off of a watch. That's also why I haven't put one on my new watch I suppose. I got the cheap aluminum Apple Watch, but I've heard that if you get the more expensive stainless steel, it does a lot better job in the daily wear and tear.
