Donald, If the iPad is the same as the iPhone, then go to your control
center and swipe right until you find Do Not Disturb. Swipe down to Open
Controls and double tap to get a menu with options like for one hour etc.

Subject: disabling all notifications on my iPad
Hello,
I am giving a presentation in a couple of weeks using my iPad. Is
there a way to disable all visual and auditory notifications on the
iPad such as email, callendar, slack, etc?
I just need to disable everyting for the hour or so I am giving the
presentation.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Don
