OK, The Brother HL-2360 DW is a straight lazer-jet, black and white, and yes, you will need sighted assistance to set it up, but after that it should just work. You select WiFi on the printer control panel, then there is something that blinks on the and you have to press the WiFi button on the Router. Wait a few minutes, and it prints a test page showing Connection OK. Then, you press the OK button on the Printer control panel and you are good to go. When you select print from the share or more actions on your iPhone, you will need to wait until it finds your printer, which usually takes very little time. When you select the printer, you will then have some options. It will default to double sided printing, but if you want single sided, double tap where it says double sided and select single sided. It will also show you how many pages in case you maybe only want to print 1, you can deselect the other pages. Then, back at the top left is the print button. Double tpa and you are printing.
The all-in -one model is not necessary unless you have sighted help for doing faxing, scanning, etc. Since models change, and we bought the HL-2360 DW a few years ago, you may find another model with a similar feature set. We prefer lazer-jets because you do not have the issue of ink drying out from non-use, and changing a toner cartridge is much easier than dealing with the ink cartridges. You will need help setting the printer up the first time, with the printer drum and toner cartridge, but once that is done, you will be able to change cartridges as needed on your own. You also get many more pages per dollar with a laser-jet than with an ink jet. If you want to know, the all-in-one model is MFC L2710DW. But, I don't recommend it for someone without sighted assistance.
