Carla: I have a ring 2 doorbell. After you get the notification on your phone, you have to double tap the notification to open the ring app. This takes two or three seconds. If you want to talk to the person at the door, you have to find the talk button, which voice over does not announce by swiping. You have to know where it is, which is in the upper left part of the screen. Voice over will announce it when you slide your finger over it. Then you have to double tap the talk button. These steps take a bit of time, so not immediately available.
To make things faster, if you have an Amazon Echo,, you can just wake it up and say, “talk to the back door’, and the mike will open immediately.
