Hi Chi,

The BlindTunes scripts do offer a few nice features, but they aren't really
required as iTunes is very accessible with Jaws. Once you get the hang of it
it's not that hard, remember your F6 key and the tab key to jump around from
the Source List to other areas like your music library, store area etc. I
also recommend connecting the devices by cable as WiFi sync can be a bit
flaky at time and it's definitely a lot slower if you sync a lot of music.

Lastly, I highly recommend you listen to Jonathan's FS Casts from I think
January and February where he put together a great 2-part iTunes tutorial.
You can find these on the Freedom Scientific website or subscribe to FS
Casts in any Podcast client, if you don't have one yet and are looking for
one I recommend Downcast which is very accessible and I think is preferred
not only by most people on the list but also gets awesome reviews from
sighted users.

Give that a try and if you need more help feel free to contact me directly.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: Running the iTunes maze with jaws

  Hi all,
I've recently picked up a couple of apple devices for the first time, the
iPad3 and iPhone 5,and although I'm mostly very impressed with the abilities
of both devices with regards to accessibility, iTunes has got me stumped.
When I had my android phone, I was able to simply copy music from my
computer to the device and I was done.
Now I have to go through iTunes apparently, and so far it's a nightmare.
I've installed blind tunes, hoping that would make things easier, and I've
read through all the guides multiple times.
Frankly, the guides for blind tunes suck, and assume a level of
understanding of the way it works that the new user simply does not possess.
I've imported several folders of music into iTunes, and somehow was able
to sync the music to my iPhone, but I'm frankly not sure how I did it, it
only copied the music over after over an hour of trial and error, and I
cannot replicate what I did.
It seems it would be an easy thing to select an album, or create a
playlist and copy it over, especially with scripts built specifically for
this, but I must be missing the boat entirely somewhere.
Are any of you using blind tunes out there, or are you able to use iTunes
without the scripts for jaws?
If so, any tips would be greatly appreciated, or any links to where I can
get more info.
I do not mind doing research, and I'm very computer literate, but this one
has been a frustrating experience so far.
I've got the latest version of iTunes running on a PC and jaws 13.
  Any help much appreciated.
  Thanks,
Che
