I find the easiest way is to open photos. Double tap on the one you want to share. Then flick right until you find the share button, select mail, and then enter the to field, and fill in the rest of the email subject and body. Then send it. The other way is to start the email, then at the bottom if you are using iOS 14, there is a button to attach a photo. If using iOS 13, turn the rotor to edit, and flick up untip you find insert photo or add photo, something like that. HTH,
