Their is also silver dollar and beyond the eclipse for Mac games. For twitter
access, their are a few options. Twitterfic is a popular one it works well, and
it’s designed for the blind. It’s $32 Canadian with tax. For Facebook access,
the best is in my view, Microsoft Edge for the Mac. It works well with
VoiceOver. Their is also an official Facebook Messenger app in the Mac app
store, but it frequently goes busy and is not ideal. You’ve gotta be a
proficient VoiceOver user to use it. Also the app does not provide proper
VoiceOver feedback, when interacting with items.

their is lots to like about a Mac. First off, VoiceOver is really
robust and works better than Narrator at this time. VoiceOver uses the same
command set for everything, which makes for a consistent user experience. In
Windows, information is presented linearly. In macOS, it is presented more like
what a sited user would see. That was the hardest thing for me about learning
the Mac back in 2009. But now, I feel it is more intuitive and easier than
Windows 10. Progress bars in macOS, are called progress indicators, and by
default, you hear clicks. You can set for all progress indicators to speak or
do nothing, when you encounter them. One of the cool things about them is, in
Windows, JAWS and NVDA report them and you’ve gotta go through menus to turn
them off. In macOS, if you don’t wanna hear progress indicators, all you do is
move away from them. Macs are very good for audio production, with great
VoiceOver support in Logic. Protools has something you need to install to get
it working, and Reaper works well if you don’t have the money to spend. Logic
is $381 Canadian, and comes with loads of additional content available for
download. Protools is industry standard, but a lot more money. VoiceOver is
very good when updating the OS, turning on a few seconds after the update
process begins. Narrator by contrast, seems to depend on what sound card you’re
using. VoiceOver is the same on every Mac, so you can go anywhere with access
to Macs and have a exsalent screen reader. Safari at the moment has problems,
but Apple should be quick to fix them.
