I think I found that is probably true, the hard way. The HP all in one I have
likes to, when hooked to the computer, complain about ink expiring, etc, when
I'd use Kurzweil to scan once in a while. If scanning is all I want to do, it
shouldn't care how old the ink is.

Hello Kitty,

I cannot be absolutely certain but I am relatively confident that the printer
in question is not a duplex model.

Funny thing, I have a duplex laser printer in my office and, aside from testing
the feature, I don't think I've ever elected to use it.

Also, the printer in question is just that, a printer. I am not a fan of
models that combine a printer with other tech such as a scanner.

In my office I have printers, Scanners, and faxes, and all of them are stand
alone units. I prefer individually functioning units because they are less
likely to require the use of a touch pad or an LCD display.

Mark
