Hello Linda, VoiceOver modifier keys are a good thing to set up. Go to settings>accessibility>VoiceOver>typing. It defaults to control+option. I also have caps lock selected as well. That way, I can use whatever VoiceOver modifier is convenient for me, depending on the task at hand.
