If you have it on nonthing or words, you will not hear each character deleted. Yes, this also means you hear the character as you write, and sometimes that is misleading because if you use contracted braille, the immediate feedback may be the single character and not the contracted meaning, but it is easy to get used to it. When using a braille display, this isn’t a big problem because you can physically see what you’re erasing. If using an Orbit Writer, this presents a huge annoyance because you don’t know what’s been erased. I’ve reported this to apple since august. Anyone have a work around for this?
