If you open the charging box when you go to pair them, Under Bluetooth you will get a message pop up, Saying something like press the button and hold it to connect, This is a little finger tip sized button on the back of the charging box / case, Hold this button until you get the message on screen to say the pods are paired.
As for pairing with multiple devices, If they are all apple devices and are logged in to using the same apple id as your phone is that you paired thepods to, Then your pods will be paired with those devices automatically. If you wish to pair with other non apple products then you will need to do that manually.
