I had the same problem after updating my iPhone7 to 14.1 from 13.7, and after doing a firmware update on my Deco router. A second subsequent firmware update has apparently fixed the problem because I no longer get a week security message. It has nothing to do with passwords. It's about the WPA option. I don't know enough to say more.
