Hi James, You can set Handwriting to recognize lower case letters, capital letters, numbers, or punctuation. If I remember right, you cycle between these by flicking up or down with three fingers. And yes, you can enter a passcode using Handwriting. YOu'll just need to switch the recognition to numbers first.
