Try clearing out your app switcher and then turning your iOS device off and then on. Before opening anything else, run notes and see if you continue to have the same problem. This is to test if there is a memory issue occurring for you. A memory issue is extremely likely if you are running an iPhone 3GS. It is also somewhat likely on an iPhone 4. Apple added new features to iOS 6 which require more RAM memory use by iOS. Running an app on my iPhone which displays amount of memory being used by different running apps, it becomes obvious that VO uses a substantial amount of RAM.
