Hi,
I had to first get my phone to update to IOS14, which is what the old
phone had. After that, I erased everything and re-started the setup
process, and it transferred most of everything important in about 4
minutes, even my contacts, folder structures, etc.
It's awesome!

I didn't get to where I could turn off auto lock on the new phone. It went
straight through the set up process until it hit IOS Update.
Guess I'll find out soon if data transfers while it's auto locked. the old
phone screen has never auto locked, so maybe that means somethings going on. I
also have a good bit of data on the old phone so I know this may take a while.
