Hi Melissa, I forgot to ask in my last message, what is your opinion on
the size and feel and weight of the headset you got, the 730. Maybe you
can't answer that yet until you resolve the earbud issue, but I'm
wondering. Also, some reviewers said that the 730 headsets were not as
forgiving if the phone was on the right side of your body because the
Bluetooth radio of it is on the left side, meaning the range isn't as
good. I know that can be subjective because with some bluetooth devices,
thick objects like walls or big people can interrupt the flow of data
and thus cause a break in audio. But again, I'm curious to read your
findings.

I got the 730 headset I was asking about, and they aren't much different than the 700. when you turn
the set on and off, it says "power on" and "power off" and you can see the battery
percentage from the iphone, plus the audio on the headset says "battery high, low, or medium.
Depending on the status. The 730 also drags a little on voice over, but I'm not sure if that's a voice
over thing, or something to do with the volume of the phone. I just got them yesterday, so haven't had
time to work with them much yet. My pet peeve is, the silicon buds that came with that set are a little
too large for me, and it came with a pack of different sizes, but I can't seem to snap the smaller ones
on for some reason. That's a dexterity problem, not anything to do with the headset. If anyone can
share some magic tips about how I might get the buds on, please let me know.

Generally, you never have to re-pair headphones, unless you pair them with

Since the microphone seems to be the shortcoming of most Bluetooth devices, I
will often turn off the headphones if I want to use Siri or dictate.

P. S. In an earlier post describing the Plantronics 903 Bluetooth headphones,
when I read the post I had already sent, I noticed some glaring errors. Be
assured I was not talking about the headphones and one's butt. It was a case of
dictation and not clearly hearing what was said when I proof read the post.

A slightly side question. When you use a blutooth earphones, do you have to
pair them every time you want to use them? What happens if you don't want to
use the earphones but listen to the internal speaker? How does the speaker know
that you don't want to use the earphones? Is it just by turning the earphones
off? Can one turn them off? I know it all sounds rather simple but I've never
had a pair of bluetooth earphones, and I'm researching them with a view to
getting a pair.
Thanks for any tips.

Interesting! Unless the comments get better or if Amazon carries the
730's I have to think I'll be sticking to the tried and true 700's for
both my fiance and myself.

For what it's worth, I just went in to Amazon to purchase either the 730's
or the 700's. Amazon indicated they're not currently selling the 730's
through their site because they are aware of some customer complaints, but
they were vague whether the complaints were about the product, it's
description on Amazon,or some issue with delivery.

Subject: Re: question about the lg hbs730 bluetooth headset.
Raul,
Please see my other email. I can't speak for the 730's but I have had
a 700 for nearly a year, as has my fiance, and a bunch of friends.
None of us has has a problem with ours (OK one of my fiance's earbuds
stopped working, but he could have done that himself, as he never
seems to keep the buds in the magnetic holders). Other than that the
rest of ours seem to work well. I've never had people tell me they
can't hear me and I can usually hear them.
Now, I will say the bluetooth picks up noise around the user -- for
example if my fiance is on the bus, I can here others like they are
right on top of him! He's expressed the same about those around me.
LIke you I'd really want to order the 730's but am a bit leary about
the reviews.

Hi Melissa, I found both the 700 and 730 headsets on Amazon and it seems
like the 700 has better reviews, but the 730 has superior sound quality.
Because of the reviews there though I'm hesitant to purchase one of
these. I'm in the look out for a newer Bluetooth headset because the
ones I have now are 3 years old and big. So, I'd be interested in
knowing what people think of these. I've provided links below.

was viewing the lg bhs730 and was wondering if it has the earbuds
magnetically connected to it like the lg hbs700 does. sounds like the
hbs730 has more features such as voice battery announcement and voice
pairing guideance. I really like the 700 set, but would like to know if
my battery is high, low, or medium sometimes. I don't care for the way
the plantronics backbeat layout is. thanks for any coments on this.
Just wondering if I'd be happy with the hbs730 I guess someone with a
little vision may be able to tell the differences in the pictures.
