Hi all, Am I the only one on the planet who is having this problem? Since the IOS14 update, VoiceOver on my SE-2020 sporadically announces incoming calls while the screen is locked, but more than not, it says nothing. Sometimes it will start to say incoming call, but will then just say “in” and then nothing. Sometimes I can silence the ringer and then am able to swipe to see who is calling. You have no idea how many hours I have spent attempting to resolve this most annoying and frustrating issue! First...as someone suggested when I posted about this several months ago...I made sure that full screen was checked in notifications, although this apparently specifically referred to when the screen was unlocked. I had set announce calls to never since VoiceOver announced this in the past, but changing it to always didn’t make it announce.
Next, I tried adding new language, changing voices, etc., all to no avail! So, I then restored my phone, hoping that would fix it, but that didn’t work either. The only other thing I could think of was that possibly my SIM card might be the problem, although I doubted it. It was five or six years old so I called AT&T and ordered another one which, of course, did n’t resolve the issue. My iPod, on the other hand, announces incoming calls just fine, so go figure! I am really disappointed as having calls announced is one of the reasons I enjoy a talking phone. If you have read this far, I thank you very much! If anybody has any thoughts/suggestions/ideas, I would greatly appreciate it! With each 14 update my hopes rise, only to be crushed once again.
