Good day. I have an example of how Text Recognition could be used in iOS 14. A lot of people have been harsh regarding the Image Recognition and other new recognition features with VoiceOver in iOS 14, and for good reason since some don't work as well as we may want them to. However, I have a possible use for the Text Recognition. I've noticed in several Disney Plus shows and movies recently that Voiceover automatically reads subtitles that show up at the bottom of the screen during the programs. This has happened on some animal shows and the movie "Operation Dumbo Drop". I haven't watched any movies yet that are in other languages, but expect that those English subtitles would also be read. Sometimes I can hear the person speaking the words in addition to VoiceOver reading the subtitles, but not always. Often the speaker's voice is lowered or in the background and is not always easy for this hard of hearing person (me) to hear, so I appreciate the subtitles. And, for what it's worth, I'm using iOS 14.4 on an iPhone 11. I don't think the subtitles were read on prior iOS versions, so can only conclude that this is a plus for iOS 14. And, it will only get better from here.
