I had my iPhone on 12.41 which I still think was awesome, then I updated to 13.7 which was okay. I recently updated to 14, and my screen hasn't changed all that much except I now have 3 pages of apps instead of 4, but other then that, my screen is easy to use. I'd update to 14, you should be fine.
