I assume this is a rhetorical question, but I wear a mask during this pandemic in order to protect those people around me. I wouldn’t want someone to get COVID-19 because I’ve contracted it without having any symptoms. I also want to help businesses and the economy. People will feel safer going out if they see people around them wearing masks.
It's all about managing risk, so I’ll wear a mask where it makes sense. I’ll take it off though when I need to, such as when I’m eating or drinking, using face ID or talking to someone who wants to read my lips.
