Hi Mike,

I know what you are talking about as my wife had the same issue. You have to
have your wife’s iPhone connected by wire to the car to make it speak through
the car speaker. It will not speak when connected by Bluetooth. I can get my
iPhone to speak through my iPhone but I do not have my iPhone Bluetooth to the
car. I had my iPhone connected to the car by Bluetooth and my iPhone would not
speak through my iPhone speaker and it also messed up VO. If I disconnected it
from being Bluetooth to the car my iPhone VO worked fine and my iPhone sound
came out my iPhone speaker giving the driving instructions. I believe you
have two choices to make the iPhone speak when doing driving. 1. You have to
have the iPhone connected by wire to the car for it to speak and it will come
out the speakers on the car. 2. You can have the info come out of the iPhone
but you cannot have it connected to the car by Bluetooth for this to work. This
is what I have figured out so far. If you figure out otherwise let me know.

Mr. Ed

Subject: Setting Voiceover To Speak When Connected To Vehicle's Bluetooth

Hi All,

My wife is running an SE 2020 phone with iOS 14.4.1. I don't know when this
happened, but before when she was driving with the phone connected to any of
our vehicles bluetooth system she could ask Siri for driving directions and
they were spoken through the phone instead of the car stereo. Right now once
the phone connects to the vehicles bluetooth I can't get Voiceover to speak and
it's definitely activated. The phone is not muted but, I just don't know where
to turn at this point to get the driving directions back to speaking through
the phone.

Will someone please give me steps on how to get the audio driving directions
back? All help is greatly appreciated and graciously accepted! Thanks mooy
moocho.

Stay safe and take care. Mike.
