Actually, it says in the description that it does not need an Apple Music or Spotify subscription, but the music needs to exist in Apple Music. I do not have an Apple music subscription and it found several albums. However, it did not find a couple I would have thought were there, but they are a little obscure. Anyway, for $1.99 I figured it was worth a try. I'm still not sure it is, but I only tried 3 or 4 titles.
