There are a bunch in the app store if you just search for this day in history. A brief look had several free, some with in-app purchases, but the few I read more details on were 4 and 5 years old. But, there are a lot there. I know nothing of their accessibility. You might search on Applevis.com as well to see if any are reviewed.
