Hi Richard,

I will write to Supersense through the app and request Dropbox access. I did
attempt to share the file to Supersense using the Dropbox app with the only
difference being that I placed focus on the file and single finger swiped down
until Share had focus and double tapped. But then I tried your method of triple
tapping the applicable file in the Dropbox app to open the context menu and was
successful by doing the following:

1. Triple tapping on the applicable file in the Dropbox app.

2. Double tapping on the More actions button in the upper right corner of the
screen that opens.

3. Single finger swiping right until Export has focus and double tapping.

4. Exploring by touch by placing my finger in about the middle of the screen
until hearing One link and one document Dropbox.com and single finger swiping
right from that point through the standard options until reaching Open in and
double tapping.

5. Single finger swiping right through the already defined list of available
apps until reaching Recognize with Supersense and double tapping.

6. Supersense appears to have done an excellent job with the OCR on my test
file so I placed focus on the Share button in the bottom right corner of the
Supersense screen and double tapped.

7. I did a lot of right swiping until reaching Save to Dropbox and double
tapping.

8. This brought up a Save to Dropbox screen where I was able to swipe right
until reaching the default Supersense created name and double tapping on it to
open the on screen keyboard where I edited it as desired.

9. I then swiped right to choose the Dropbox folder where I wanted to save
this post OCR version and after double tapping to select it, placed focus on
the Save button in the upper right corner of the screen and double tapped.

The PDF file created by Supersense does not have the columns in the source file
and the formatting isn't great but it did produce a nice stacked list of text
lines which reads very well.

Thanks for the help provided on this one.

Alan,

That is a great issue you have found with SuperSense. It has lots of apps you
can import from, some that make no sense at all, but no Dropbox.

First, write to them through the app and request Dropbox access.

They default to iCloud, though OneDrive is another possibility.

Have you tried triple tapping on the file in DropBox and select share and if
needed whatever it says for more than what is listed and see if supersense is
in there?

Let us know if you get it to work.

Subject: Help needed getting image PDF in Dropbox folder to Supersense

Hi List,

I'll admit up front that I'm a bit old school and prefer using my desktop
computer to do most of my email. I often get scanned PDF image files that I
want to run OCR on while preserving as much formatting as possible. I will save
these attachment images to an applicable Dropbox folder on my computer so I can
still access them with my iPhone SE 2020. I know I can use Voice Dream
Reader/Scanner to get the text read to me from these image PDFs but I want to
see how Supersense handles them. I've been unable to figure out how to do this
with Supersense so I'm asking the experts here.

I know Supersense has an import option but I could find no way using it to
access files in a Dropbox folder. I also tried going to the Dropbox app on my
iPhone and attempting to share the particular file with Supersense but couldn't
figure out how to do it. Even if Supersense has a way to import files in a
Dropbox folder, I'm not sure it will allow me to share the post OCR version
back to Dropbox.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
