I'll add to what Christopher has already said. When you open a thread by double tapping on it, the messages on the screen that opens are in chronological order with the oldest listed first even though in the previous threaded screen they are listed in reverse chronological order with the newest message listed first. Each message in the opened thread are numbered from one to the last number in the group with the total number in the group also spoken. For example, if the thread contains four messages, the first one will be identified as one of four. When on the beginning of each message in the opened thread, you can swipe right once to place focus on a message actions button. Double tap it to open a vertical list of options including things like mark as read, reply, forward, etc. When you execute reply, you should be in the message body with focus at the top and the on screen keyboard open in the bottom third of the screen to take your input.

I just went through my email, so I don’t have any conversations left at the moment to play with, but I can tell you a bit that will hopefully help. When you bring up your in box, you’ll be able to flick left and right to move from conversation to conversation. You’ll hear how many messages are in your conversation. To expand the conversation, just double tap. Now you’ll have Messages in your roter, so to jump from message to message in the conversations just flick up or down. You may have to check the roter from time to time to make sure you’re still on the Messages item in the roter. Also, check out the actions in the roter to do things like delete a message or a conversation. There’s also the one finger triple tap to bring up the context menu. I also just use a lot of the on screen buttons to delete conversations or move a message to a folder. You can also go into Outlook settings and just turn off conversations if you want to. -- Christopher (AKA CJ) Chaltain at Outlook From: viphone@googlegroups.com <viphone@googlegroups.com> On Behalf Of regina alvarado Sent: Sunday, April 18, 2021 4:59 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Need best description of how to use outlook in conversations. Can someone give me a place to look to learn how to read conversations in outlook with voiceover please? It is either that or can someone give me some instruction here? I have found where to delete conversations, obviously I can use compose and I found where to get to the next message. However where do I touch the beginning of the message or how do I read them in sequence? I also saw where you can use Cortana to play your emails, but I am assuming that we cannot do that. I generally like the app a lot, but just as I was confused about how to actually read the regular mail I’m confused here also can somebody help me please? Thanks so much. I know it must be something simple that I missing, but no matter what I do it skips messages and I can’t tell where to read them. Thanks again for any help with this. I wanted an app that would be better than the native app, but I seem to be still having as much problem with this as I did with the native app. Reggie Alvarado -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
