Hello, Carriers are now starting to implement new technology with the hope of cutting down on scam and Robo calls. This new technology requires authentication of phone numbers before they come through to your phone. For example, my carrier has to verify that it is me calling from the number that shows up on your caller ID as opposed to a number that is spoofed by a computer service. I believe a part of this allows for more information to be sent through hence the reason you're now seeing the name of who is calling you even if they're not in your contact list. Hope that helps.
