Presuming you haven't done this already, you may want to wipe off the
screen including the area at the bottom where your fingerprint is captured.
It can help to be systematic about making certain you change the angle and
placement of your finger so it's all captured. As you go through the
process, there are times when VoiceOver instructions are cut off by the
process as you move your finger and place it differently on the sensor. My
only other thought is that perhaps, a different finger would work better.
You can have more than one fingerprint stored. Hope that helps.
