Yes, I actually discovered this method shortly after purchasing pages last
year. The trick I have found is to locate the file you want to rename. Make
sure you do this by dragging your finger around the screen until you locate
the file. Then I raise my finger just a hair from the screen, toggle VO off,
then touch the screen.

Were you able to follow the instructions and rename a doc? I think I
followed them but I couln't get it to work. I think its the whole toggling
VO on and off that sticks me.

To rename a document you have to select Documents, then in the list of
documents, place one finger on the one you wish to rename, toggle
VoiceOver off, double-tap with that one finger, then toggle VoiceOver
back on again. You'll be in an edit field which is the file name. Type
the new name, then tap Done. If you've already given the document a name,
you'll need to delete the original name or the new one will be appended
