I bought a Withings Body Plus scale and it does require sighted assistance to set up. the app seems not to register any weight that's different from what you program. The scale makes no beeps or anything to let you know that it's working, and it seems you have to stand on a certain section for the weight to show up. It's the health mate app, and the results show up in the Apple health app as well. It's not the best solution, but the best one I've found right now. Matthew
