I'd wait 4 months, or really a month or so for WWDC to find out what the next iPhone will offer in September.
There are limited apps who have taken advantage of what Lidar offers as I understand it. It will help with finding objects, Seeing AI is using it. I personally have an iPhone SE 2020 so will wait and see if the 13 (or whatever they call the next one) has Lidar on all models and what improvements they have made. I'm always skeptical of a major feature on its first year of release. Then, if the 13 doesn't seem to offer that much more than the 12 Pro Max, its price will probably be lower then as well. Is it all it's cracked up to be? Is LIDAR good for us who don't see? Are there things you just love about the A14 that the A13 just couldn't touch? Somebody talk me into or out of it please. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
