You can simply connect your iPhone to your Alexa speaker via Bluetooth and the
speaker will act like any other Bluetooth speaker.
In order to do this you can use the Alexa app to put your Echo in pairing mode
or you can just say "Alexa, connect". It will most likely say it's searching
and maybe after a while that it couldn't find anything to connect to, but if
you have Settings > Bluetooth open on your iPhone you should see the Echo at
the bottom of your list of devices and tapping on it should connect to it.

Subject: Can I use my Amazon Alexa as a speaker for playing YouTube from my
IPhone?, if so how do I do so??

Hi all

Hoping someone may be able to help with this. Bit of a long story, so please
bear with me.

I'm currently trying to get my new Guide Dog used to/comfortable with the sound
of applause. Someone suggested that there were good clips on YouTube which I
could use, and indeed, there are.

It then occurred to me that, if I could somehow use my Amazon Alexa as a
speaker to play the audio from my IPhone I'd be able to have the sound at a
much higher volume than my phone could ever hope to achieve.

So I just wondered whether this might be possible? Is there a way that I could
use my Alexa as a speaker to play these YouTube clips from my phone? If so, how
do I go about setting it up/doing so??

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give with this, as I'm very much
hoping it'll be of benefit to my Guide Dog and help her get used to/be a lot
happier with the sound.

Eleanor
