So I use an otterbox case on my Iphone 8. I had tried cleaning the outside of this case with no success, but I decided to try removing the case and cleaning the phone itself. So I removed the case and cleaned the actual phone screen with a soft cloth then I cleaned the inside of the case itself. and replaced the case on the phone. It appears to have worked. I guess the inside was dirty somehow. Now things seem to be back to normal. Thanks so much for the suggestions. I have never had anything like this happen before and I've gone months without cleaning the inside of the case. But now I know what to do if this problem pops up again. Thanks!!
