I might be wrong here, but I don't think Ring is a monitored system? It really depends what you want. Mich, if you feel you need a security system you may want to call Liberty Security as I believe they operate Canada wide or ask your provider since I think many of the large telecom providers now also offer home and business security systems. I know for sure Telus does since they keep calling me to see if I want to switch to them so I assume Bell at least may also offer this. If you get a monitored system you may get the basic system like the keypad and a few door and window sensors for free if you sign up for a contract. You will then probably pay around $25/30 a months and this will be for your monitoring, e.g. if your system I striggered somebody at the monitoring centre will be alerted and after first checking in with you they will then call the police. Such systems can also include smoke detectors or a panic button which when pressed will immediately result in the police getting send to you.

Vivint is not that accessible at all. I just got rid of there system and installed the Ring system which is very accessible. The keypad is very simple and easy to use. The system also sends you instant notifications as soon as you do any action. I like it.
